Posted 18 Oct 2020 by Fardringle Has something been changed in the TF 0.12 (cuda100) tasks? Up until today, my GTX 1060 has been averaging about 2-2.5 minutes per GPU task. However, starting a few hours ago, it suddenly changed to where the tasks run for 20-25 minutes before showing 100% progress. Some finish and report at that point, but some do not. And then when they do complete (I aborted a couple because they just kept running at 100%), they give a lot more credit than the faster tasks have been rewarding. This makes it appear intentional to me... If there is a new set of tasks that just takes longer to run and rewards more credit appropriate to the increased time, that's not a problem at all. But it would be good to make an announcement to let people know if that is the case. And maybe adjust the progress meter so it doesn't show 100% until the task is actually completed. |
