Work available??
(Message 428)
Posted 2 Jan 2015 by DerekL Agreed. A big thank you is certainly in order. I feel guilty now for having even started this thread :| Being fairly new to all this, I wasn't sure if I had gotten everything on my end setup correctly or not. So, ya, my apologies. And Thank You for an awesome project. Glad to be a part of it! |

Posted 30 Dec 2014 by DerekL Lol. The rat pack has lots of them(or at least I do). But rebirther is correct; they are very slow :( I was just hoping to get lucky and find a good use for them other than attracting dust. |

Work available??
(Message 354)
Posted 29 Dec 2014 by DerekL Is it just me, or is there currently no work available? None of my systems are able to get more work right now. Checking on the server status I see everything is online, but no more work ready to be sent... I am reading that correctly? Could be that I have no clue what I'm talking about :) |

Posted 28 Dec 2014 by DerekL Mmmmm, pie, delicious... Oh wait, wrong kind of pie :) I was wondering if there is any support for the Raspberry Pi ARM processors. I have a whole army of RPi's with nothing to do. Seems to me that many of these shorter work units would be very well suited to these small processors. I understand that many projects do not support RPi's, often because the work units are just too much to handle. Maybe it is worth considering for this one?? There are millions of RPi's out there and I'm sure that many of them could end up crunching if only projects supported them and had small enough work units where it didn't take half a lifetime to complete. Food for thought |

Linux: Install doesn't work
(Message 351)
Posted 28 Dec 2014 by DerekL Ok, good news! I got it working. Not sure exactly what I did - or if I actually did anything at all - but I'm not complaining. Thanks for the support... lets find some primes! :) |

Posted 28 Dec 2014 by DerekL to update (get tasks) the project you have to use: Right. I did update first. A few times for good measure :) Then did --get_tasks to see if anything came through. |

Posted 28 Dec 2014 by DerekL I am having a similar issue using linux command line... I can successfully add the project, but it never gets any work. I have tried boinccmd --project http://srbase.myfirewall.org/sr5/ update several times but when i run boinccmd --get_tasks it is empty.I'm not the most experience at using boinc in linux command line, but have not had issues running other projects in the same way... any ideas?? Thanks, Derek |

Posted 28 Dec 2014 by DerekL I agree with the others... I would prefer to have things reported in my own name. This is really the only way for us to get any credits for our efforts. Additionally, I agree with Conan and Vaughan that is would be awesome if reporting worked similar as over at PrimeGrid :) |
