Posted 22 Oct 2021 by Viking69 Why is this ONE project having this issue? In BOINC ver. 7.16.11 when I try to even get to the part to add the project, it fails. My client says that it is the latest... But on the BIONC site is shows this: Windows client 7.16.20 released Download it here. This version fixes a problem that prevented BOINC from communicating with several projects and account managers. 18 Oct 2021, 5:08:00 UTC ยท Discuss Not helpful to those that rely on the application to tell me the latest. :-( |

Posted 15 Oct 2021 by Viking69 OK, I don't have to "FIX" any other BIONC apps like this. The site should issue this update to its software itself, but my client can't even connect, and I am not looking to report or get WU's at this point. It would be easier to delete the project and reinstall after a while. |

Posted 22 Sep 2016 by Viking69 For this program BOINC I have not had to do additional math to determine the length of a WU for other projects. The last 10 minutes of these last WU's have taken over 14 hours to get down to 2:13 to go......It is now over 3 minutes of process time before the remaining time decrements a single second. If this is the case then it will never finish, and I am over the deadline by 13 + hours now. If I don't get credit for these I will be pissed! |

Posted 21 Sep 2016 by Viking69 These come to my PC stating 11 + hours. I have 8 still running at 2 d 19:39:41 and counting. It counts seconds up in elapsed with the clock, but the remaining does not decrement for about 10-15 seconds per second of elapsed....These at taking forever. I had to cancel lots of WU's because they would never finish and some let alone start in time. If you do not know how long a WU will take, do not use a short time for the projected Elapsed, say it will take 2 days. |

It finally got to 100% at the 30:20 mark and has sat there crunching ever since. This is a Sierpinski / Riesel Base - short 0.04. It seems that as it got closer to 100% it would take longer and longer to get the last seconds checked off, like a graphing that went off into infinity. I have another that was at 99.9xx% at 7:10 and 99.999% at 11:34 and now seems to be going off into infinity. It is the same type of WU. It hit 100% at 14:07 I have to stop watching these and get something done....... |

Posted 3 Apr 2015 by Viking69 It seems that my PC may be experiencing a reboot on its own. This has happened in the past, and I thought that it was weird but I couldn't determine why. I now think I know why because I am crunching some SRBase WU's again, and it has happened again. When I went back to my last unusual restart it was at a time when I was crunching SRBase WU's. Has anyone else had unusual reboots with WU's being crunched for any particular projects? My event log just shows a unexpected reboot, and my APC data shows that it was not a power outage that might have caused it. |
