After comparing services with a similar PC, I found the culprit -

Session Detection (or SessionSvc) from Goodix

Thank you for your interest

Constantly !!
All other PID's (except system) under 1%

cpu speed at 99% which prevents 'turbo' and temps around 65.

This 4-core CPU cannot run SRBase effectively even though only 4 tasks run.
I have disabled all manufacturer's services.
Core Temp shows usage mostly under 50%.
CPU-Z stress shows that cores are capable of 100%.
System (PID 4) is consistently around 5%.

I suspect some setting in Windows 11 is the culprit - but what can it be ?

PS. RAM 8GB ca. 50% in use
SWAP 8GB
disk usage almost zero

Applikationer unsent in progress avg runtime of last 100 results
Sierpinski Base - short 39,342 19,734 0.30 (0.06 - 5.36)

Why can't I get these unsent WU ?

How did user "yeti" advance more than 1½M cobblestones in a single day ?

Server response isn't convincing - are you sure you can cope ?

Exactly !
BOINC should be able to estimate better.
Maybe It is not able to take account of chips WITHOUT AVX etc ?

I have 2 days buffer. I get " Not started by deadline - cancelled"- (note canceLLed)
Because your run-time estimates are so inaccurate, you waste computer-power. Try to be be a little more responsible.
11) Message boards : News : invalid certificate from BOINC clients (Message 7939)
Posted 1 Oct 2021 by Profile JohnMD
It fixes the problem but it takes awhile, I had to restart the client twice and not force the update, just let BOINC deal with it, mine finally updated by itself without my pushing and uploaded everything.

What update ?
My ca-bundle.crt has timestamp 31-05-2021 17:33.
My boinc is 7.16.11
I don't believe this explanation.

Sometimes deadlines are idiotic - and SRBase does not compensate.

I haven't time to abo every thread on every project I'm in.
Put a timestamp on your information - is it that difficult ?

We are not here 24/7 !
It would be most informative if your messages were tagged with UTC-time like other projects. It can't be that difficult !

I have installed the newest driver APPROVED by my manufacturer.
I have no intention of invalidating my guarantee by installing something else.
Have some repect.

Like many others, I'm glad for your involvement.
like many others, I'm not glad that others' suggestions don't have a timestamp.
Is it really that difficult ?
By the the - SRB has tens of thousands of GPU WU's - but nothing for us poor.
17) Message boards : Number crunching : Runtime estimates (Message 7029)
Posted 27 Nov 2020 by Profile JohnMD
I requested 2 days WU's (enough for the weekend, I thought).
Due to SRBase's poor estimates, I got enough WU's for a whole week.
unfortunately, they time out after 4 days, so the server wastes effort both in sending the extra 3 days' data and in cancelling them.
Results are also delayed.
After so many years, SRBase ought to be better at estimating.

@marmot
Thanks for doing Plejaden's homework.
I've noticed that when I use (Intel) hyperthreading with SRBase, there's no overheating but WUs take nearly twice as long. This confirms their assertion that the code is very intensive - meaning minimal waiting for data.
AMD's CPUs are known for their ability with mixed loads - Intel's when it comes to sprinting. SRBase falls clearly into the latter category.
Intel's CPUs generally have thermal control - when they get too hot they reduce frequency to keep cool. AMD's generally do not - with the risk of serious overheating.
#take care out there#
