Hey Reb. Are you going to feed the TF with more work or you just awaiting the return of last results? TIA.

Some comments on it here: https://www.mersenneforum.org/showpost.php?p=545565&postcount=1616

Not sure where the source code is so we can have someone to compile the Mac version.

FreeDC-stats has now been updated where you can see all negative values. Maybe there’s a way to request Bok to make an export of all clients so you can cross reference with request over here. Here’s my previously requested 69,500: https://stats.free-dc.org/user/srb/2182

Fantastic to see projects progress on mersenne.org overview page. 70-71 bits to 300M almost clean. Suppose next batch would be 70-71 bits, 300M-400M, 1.9M wus..wow, is that right?

Great job guys! Looking forward to seeing more GPU power after the penthalon is done.

Unfortunately we had a power drop by a factor of 2, before we have finished 150k tests per day, now 80k.

They will come back after the boinc penthalon.

I've forwarded a file with 32k wus, one per line. Let me know if that works out.

Did you make an excel transpose? I could see but limited those lines onto columns split by that space, but reaching excel columns view limit.

Here's our problem, the assignment list has two columns per line (with a space between), how to I break this onto two lines, example below:

line 1: Factor=2BACA544F4FE8E368DF3B2711C600001,235494541,70,71 Factor=2BACA544F4FE8E368DF3B2711C600002,235494559,70,71
line 2: Factor=2BACA544F4FE8E368DF3B2711C600003,235494613,70,71 Factor=2BACA544F4FE8E368DF3B2711C600004,235494619,70,71

and we want to convert into this:

line 1 Factor=2BACA544F4FE8E368DF3B2711C600001,235494541,70,71
line 2 Factor=2BACA544F4FE8E368DF3B2711C600002,235494559,70,71
line 3 Factor=2BACA544F4FE8E368DF3B2711C600003,235494613,70,71
line 4 Factor=2BACA544F4FE8E368DF3B2711C600004,235494619,70,71

Source is windows notepad txt file, can't break this with notepad++, or I am making something wrong.

Collatz is inflated.

by a factor of 1.527 - this is roughly what I'd expect, perhaps as high as 1.6 to match PPS Sieve and Moo credits (based on what I remember !)

Just as expected :)

Well, 1.6 is propably what we should shoot for Reb - so we need to have credit that resembles for 77-78 bit 165000x1.6 = 264000. That way we will align with Primegrid and Moo.

To be honest, I don't think that it is fair by Collatz :( They are seriously distorting the true amount of computations done by the BOINC community :(

Thanks for your usefull and enlightning feedback :)

Agree. Now you should align the 72-73 bits credit and so forth.

Are you able to give manual credit if you get screenshots of BOINC with the number of wus processed from the batch you deleted from the server?

There were only the large runs, 1 per host, I can give you credit for this one WU.

It is not for me. You shall be reached by members on this matter.

Collatz projects credits 30k per 3-4 mins run...you think about it.

Could you please reveal the type of GPU that does 30K credit per 3-4 minute runs?

I must say, even though you propably already know this, that not all GPUs produce 30K credits worth of calculations each 3-4 minutes, but if credit is to low and unreasonable it should of course be adjusted. How does Collatz credit compare to Primegrid credit on a GPU?

Go here https://boinc.thesonntags.com/collatz/top_hosts.php and choose one.

Pls stop/abort all the current work for GPU72.

You had clients preparing themselves for a boinc challenge, you said you were going to only made server changes when the server dries out. You should accept previous wus when returned by clients.

Too late, having realised he had removed them from the server I went and found them still running on the client so aborted there also.

Sorry for the inconveniences. Need to change some things and send out some test units.

I advice you to at least increase these new batch wu credit by a reasonable amount of credit otherwise I’ll forecast people being annoyed by your attitude. At least you should have given them a 24h or 48h notice, not 15 mins. Come on!

Collatz projects credits 30k per 3-4 mins run...you think about it.

Reb, you need to look at the page you linked, this one:

https://www.mersenne.ca/status/tf/0/0/1/10000

Try the 597,726 first from 72-73, if you jump to 1,386,782 (68-69 bits) it means this project results will only be helpful in 20 years time. My advice is simple: start on line 100M with the lowest bits you think you are comfortable, stop and go to line 200M, star from lower bits, and so forth. This way you will be helping gimps on short term.

It's hard to ignore when we can only have 1 task per host and its minutes between tasks.

This was only setup for the long WUs. For the tiny ones we will have 50 max per host.

Which tiny ones are you talking about, 72 to 73 bits? If so looking forward to it.
