1) Message boards : Number crunching : Over 54,000 tasks done and no primes? (Message 9118)
Posted 6 Oct 2023 by Profile MooMoo2 (Michael Kwok)
I noticed that the Hall of fame list was updated earlier today, but the first post at https://srbase.my-firewall.org/sr5/forum_thread.php?id=157 shows that I haven't found any primes yet.

This seems a bit strange since my profile at https://srbase.my-firewall.org/sr5/show_user.php?userid=3161 says that I've done 54,646 tasks. Those tasks did not include TF credit.

Am I just unlucky, or is it common to test 54000+ candidates and not find any primes?
2) Message boards : Number crunching : Interest in adding a new subproject? (Message 9040)

This is a bit of a long shot, but since PrimeGrid's Sophie Germain Search is ending on November 15, would there be interest in continuing that search on SRBase? TPS has a bunch of n=1.7M and n=3.322M candidates that can be used for that search, and since SRBase already runs the TF subproject in addition to the Sierpinski/Riesel projects, I figure it couldn't hurt to ask :)

Nope, the CPU is only used for Sierpinski/Riesel Bases (CRUS). You could ask gd_barnes in mersenneforum to setup for prpnet servers.

I see. Would you consider running the Sophie/Twin searches on GPUs by using llrCUDA? There's a recently updated version at: https://www.mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?t=28796

4) Message boards : Number crunching : Is there any way to determine how many factors you've found for the TF subproject? (Message 9033)

We have around 300 factors in 30k tests.

Thanks for the info!

So far, I've done around 3300 tasks for the TF subproject and am curious as to how many factors I've found. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that I've found 40-50 factors, but I'm wondering what the exact number is.
