Every day the cable provider is having issues. Will not be better this year. You could have slowdowns in up and downloads.
Internet is equivalent to a highway and used for most economic activity.
Hopefully things improve for you very soon.

Also, do not post Gridcoin questions on any project forum.
They can get incredibly angry about this....

At this moment, I can't access my account prefs and the finished tasks are stalling on uploads for my TF client.
Also, reading forum messages shows the "i Not secure" message in the browser address bar but creating/editing this message shows a lock icon (secure).
Good news; the TF client actually received a single notification that you sent me a private message.
PM notifications seemed to be fixed!

ok I see, what do I need to change or is it only on user side?
When community preferences are set to:
" On my Account page (no email)"
we should get a single push notification to the BOINC client but SRBase sends 300. Maybe you intended that behavior to assure users would certainly see they had found a prime number?
If all you did was turn back on private message notifications; I could live with 300 notifications but other users might complain (sorry about complaining last year...)
Resetting the server side community preferences to default should fix it so only 1 push notification arrives but that may destroy other customization you have made.
Asked another BOINC project manager if they knew the answer and they did not.
Guess the BOINC main forums are the place to turn to for a more precise fix.
Chris Caldwell's site still is having issues.

You must check your email which you are using.There is no need to check the email (which is only for signing up to BOINC projects) since the BOINC server and clients have notifications of private messages that work properly.
It used to work; what changed?
(found the answer in a PM and posted below)
If you fix the broken script then many more people will be getting their notifications of found primes and, possibly, registering them.

I have seen this some times ago, nothing was changed on the server. Maybe a bit overloaded running the notification script.
I cant do anything except disable it but will not help.

Private messages are different to public messages, You need to check your prefs to get PMs by email immediately.
It's been checked since my last TOP 5000 notification didn't arrive and you sent several test messages and the notifications were working last year.
(When language fails use video evidence...)

So the question is: why are private message notifications not working?
The TOP5000 database could be broken.Chris actually sent me an email that the last upgrade nerfed his website and there's a warning about not submitting right now.
Although, 18922*111^383954+1 was already submitted by SRBase, but Chris has too many headaches atm to deal w/ my issue.

I get private message notifications right to my BOINC client in other projects but not from here.
It used to work.
I did get a notification to one machine stating "SRBase: Notice from BOINC
Your settings do not allow fetching tasks for CPU. To fix this, you can change Project Preferences on the project's web site.

Why is this notification failing to reach our clients?
The only two choices in community preferences are to get notified at the website or by email. Notifications Immediately, by email is selected.
I check the client daily; I do not check the email account but once a month.
The prover database site is broken for all bios; it gives the error "Uncaught exception: Object of class PDO could not be converted to string"

Is it a change across all users, a change based on your GPU's performance or some other criteria; like maybe a change in the difficulty?
As from the other statements the higher the range the lower the credits / runtimes.

Lowered power settings on GPU's as the weather heats up and left them running for 8 hours to get data on efficiencies and found 2 results at 18:10 UTC.
Looks like 1 purge happens at 18 UTC

its a very old Ubuntu 12.04 OS.
I'm assuming there is a upgrade deadend in the path towards Ubuntu 20.x which requires a fresh install.
I'm not a Linux expert, but still am trying to build a BOINC VM for general use on Windows hosts and also ran into a Debian deadend from 9 to 10.
Planning to install all the BOINC client, CVMS, Singularity(LHC@Home requirements) and utility software into the /opt path in order to future proof all further upgrades/fresh installs. I do not know what pitfalls this will leave for me to trip into over the next years but it was a suggested strategy in an article. Already looking at a complete rebuild moving on from antiX 17.2.
You realistically looking at 80+ hours of labor to move to Ubuntu 19 or 20?

Only doing long3 atm.

This is a management issue.
Resource share set to 0 on 16 core machine.
The project sends more longs than can be done in 1 day.
If I limit the long3 to 1 WU of 3 cores the project has sent 2, 3 or 4 WU and so 13 cores remain unused as the other connected projects are set to Resource share 0 and see a full work cache, so send no work. If I set one of those projects to resource share 1 then they dominate the work cache and SRBase sends no work.
I guess the only solution is to run SRBase within a 3 core VM's and put the rest of the workload in the main OS or other VM's.
BOINC's resource share system is terrible; designed when all computers were single core machines.
They need to add a work cache to each core, or group of cores, to give us more control over the workload.
