Greetings!! I'm having a problem with Intel GPU work units. I have an Arc A750 & all the work units I have received lately (don't remember the specific task) have worked for 4 seconds & failed. Is this because the A750 is a new type of Intel GPU or ??????
Please advise if you need logs or information. I'm running Arch Linux with all updates current.

try to test outside boinc, copy mfakto and .ini in a separate folder and run

./mfakto -st

the .ini file must have "intel" enabled not "auto"

Ok...I unzipped mfakto-linux64-intelarc-v1.zip into a "test" folder & verified that mfakto.ini was set to "Intel" Ran [dean@asus-z690 test]$ ./mfakto-x64 -st

Your selftest failed. Do you have the latest drivers? I cant see someone with Intel ARC and linux. Can you run this card on another project?

The drivers for the card are built into the kernel (i915) and using OpenGL with Mesa 23.2-1 (supplied with Arch AUR--information page is at: https://github.com/Mesa3D/mesa - Home page for Mesa: https://mesa3d.org/) The card works normally with Numberfields@home.

I saw that there was a failure at the end of the report (1 failure). Do you want the full output?

Reasoning for using Extra-testing instead of the main Extra repository: https://www.phoronix.com/review/intel-arc-10p-faster & https://www.phoronix.com/review/intel-anv-mod-boost

The Baseline Repository information: https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/mesa/

The system has been more responsive after the Mesa 23.2-1 update. Note: I was getting failures with the Mesa 22.8-1 from the baseline Extra Repository, so I moved to the Extra-testing Repository to see if there was an improvement.

Note: Extra just updated to the Extra-testing today..I just caught that...will be seeing 23.3 in Extra-testing within the next week or so....

Also--I do not have a timeline for the XE driver meant just for the Arc series (and newer) cards...suspect that that will be in the next month or so.

I am MORE than willing to do testing to resolve this issue...I do testing/debug work for EndeavourOS & am acquainted with standard debug/log file work.

Edit:

Extract the hole zip file of mfakto. We need some .cl files to compile the kernel too.

Then I have no idea. ARC and windows are ok but never seen linux results, their drivers are bad. Does BOINC recognize the card?

Yes--BOINC sees the card & numberfields@home has been running workunits on it since I installed it. I wonder why this is being a problem.....I know that Linux is using the i915 driver right now....the Xe driver won't be coming out for a couple of months.
