General infos

- checkpoints every 10min, after a restart the runtime doesnt start from the last point
- fixed credits
- max WUs in progress = 50 per core
- anonymous platforms are not allowed
- deadline = different

Linux users:
- to run the wrapper you need Glibc_2.11 installed / supported

- Code types: R = Riesel Base, S=Sierpinski Base

AVAST issues

There seems to be a problem with the Avast software. To exclude the website from protection check out this site:

http://www.getavast.net/support/managing-exceptions/

Also happened by getting:

transient upload error

Current errors

200 (0xc8) EXIT_UNSTARTED_LATE / Timout

Check your wall clock on your host. There is a wrong time / date.

finish file present too long

(not 100% fixed in BOINC client 7.6.6+ but recommended)

TOP5000 primes / How to report a prime

If you have found a TOP5000 prime I will send you the prime by PM. You must enable in Community preferences: Notifications Immediately, by email to get a message.

1. If you dont have an account create one at http://primes.utm.edu/bios/newprover.php, you will get a password by mail to login.

2. Create a new proof code (you only need one proof code to report all primes based on this project). Choose llr and in the last field where you can find "none" write SRsieve,CRUS without any spaces. If you have already a proofcode click on the code and go to point 3

3. Enter the prime and submit.

Currently primes must have 391957 or more digits to make the list

Hardware requirements

non AVX AMD/Intel CPU 2.3Gh+

Recommended:

AVX,AVX2/FMA compatible AMD/Intel CPU 2.3Ghz+

AVX/FMA3 producing more heat on your CPU, you need a really good cooling! Dont run the CPU if you have 80°C+ core temp (based on the CPU model).

ARM devices

There is no llr app for ARM available and its not designed for such devices

Apps runtime

short -->sec-30min
average -->10min-5h
long -->1h+ (up to 10h+)
standard -->sec-30min

Based on an i7-4930K@3.8Ghz. Enable only apps you can have done in time with your computer.

To calculate your runtime on windows go to your stderr.txt in slot folder and use this formula:

(ms / 1000) * iterations total = seconds total

List of apps:

srbase = Sierpinski / Riesel Base
srbase2 = Riesel Base
srbase3 = Sierpinski Base
srbase4 = Sierpinski / Riesel Base - short
srbase5 = Sierpinski / Riesel Base - long
srbase6 = Sierpinski / Riesel Base - average
srbase7 = Riesel Base - short
srbase8 = Sierpinski Base - short
srbase9 = Sierpinski / Riesel Base - average2
srbase10 = Sierpinski / Riesel Base - average3
srbase11 = Sierpinski / Riesel Base - long2
srbase12 = Sierpinski / Riesel Base - long3

Reporting primes

The project will only reporting primes in bases with low k's left (factors left). You will find them in the base results and the primelist.

Progress bar

Pls check the bases thread and the bases loaded thread for an estimated runtime. Because of different runtimes and different bases the progress bar doesnt count correctly. On windows you can also check the stderr.txt in BOINC slot for the current progress (timesteps and percent). There isnt any endless loop so dont worry about running 100% for a certain time.

Invitation code

The invitation code for creating new accounts is pillepalle.
Its the best SPAM protection in BOINC. If you have any problems with the code let me know.

Remove only the lines you dont need to run short apps.

Change the -tx commandline to use all of your cores you have / want to run.
