Updates to Hall of fame

Posted 16 Oct 2017 by Joe I've notived the Hall of fame-primes and Results of bases has not updated for individul crunchers since at least last June or July. I understand that going through and listing the names each day is probably just to difficult to keep doing. Is there a script that could work? I used to put all my boxes on this project because of the feedback the hall of fame and the daily results provided. Once I noticed this became another project just like the rest I set the preferences to zero. |

Posted 28 Aug 2016 by Joe I admit I only run a project for the credit..I could give a rat's ass about the :"science" The average and long wu's don't get a fraction of the credit that simply running another base at 10 minutes or so get.... Seems to me the project meeds to cut the long and average into manageable pieces or increase the payout by 5x..... |

Whats the odds of a prime

Posted 4 Jul 2016 by Joe I got to thinking. As of today I have hit 31 reported primes out of 27038292 tasks or roughly 1 out of every 87000 tasks.. Curious, I'm not a mathematician, but it would seem because each base is bound by an non infinite number my chances of hitting a prime are not 1/87000 as is seems. (I know the question is not phrased well, but is the chance of hitting a prime based on independent or dependent probability is what I'm asking I guess)? |
