Pls stop/abort all the current work for GPU72.
You had clients preparing themselves for a boinc challenge, you said you were going to only made server changes when the server dries out. You should accept previous wus when returned by clients.
Too late, having realised he had removed them from the server I went and found them still running on the client so aborted there also.
Sorry for the inconveniences. Need to change some things and send out some test units. |

I advice you to at least increase these new batch wu credit by a reasonable amount of credit otherwise I’ll forecast people being annoyed by your attitude. At least you should have given them a 24h or 48h notice, not 15 mins. Come on!
Collatz projects credits 30k per 3-4 mins run...you think about it. |

Are you able to give manual credit if you get screenshots of BOINC with the number of wus processed from the batch you deleted from the server? |

Could you please reveal the type of GPU that does 30K credit per 3-4 minute runs?
I must say, even though you propably already know this, that not all GPUs produce 30K credits worth of calculations each 3-4 minutes, but if credit is to low and unreasonable it should of course be adjusted. How does Collatz credit compare to Primegrid credit on a GPU? |

It still says GPU72 on a user's home page... |

Go here https://boinc.thesonntags.com/collatz/top_hosts.php and choose one. |

There were only the large runs, 1 per host, I can give you credit for this one WU. |

Okay, it appears that credit needs to be additionally 6.56 times higher.
I may ask, is the credit given by the Collatz Conjecture, inflated or does it reflect the actual amount of computation done to complete a single task?`
I'm asking, because 11,969,000 for GTX 2080 TI sounds like a lot and at least more than what PG hands out for PPS Sieve. The original intention with the cobblestone, is to reflect the actual calculations done and not to use as a mean to attract users - by forinstance inflating the credit given per workunit.
Just did a comparison, between PPS Sieve at Primegrid and it appears that a GTX 2080 TI produces 2,722,003 cobblestones each day. Even with that in account, we are still off, by a factor of 1.527. I must stress, that just as with money, credit should not be inflated. It kind of makes credit loose its potential and afterall we might end up in best case scenario with a damaging competition between various projects, but in the worst case, credit might have to evolutionate backwards to simply just count the workunits completed. Both scenarious are unwanted, so lets do our best to keep it real :) |

There was an error:
19/04/2020 17:57:16 SRBase [error] No app version found for app TF platform windows_x86_64 ver 4 class opencl_ati_101; discarding TF_test2_wu_3_0
I have created new v12 apps for all platforms. If you still have a WU in progress but you cant see it update the project with button, you will get a resent lost xxx and it should running now. |

Collatz is inflated.
by a factor of 1.527 - this is roughly what I'd expect, perhaps as high as 1.6 to match PPS Sieve and Moo credits (based on what I remember !) |

Just as expected :)
Well, 1.6 is propably what we should shoot for Reb - so we need to have credit that resembles for 77-78 bit 165000x1.6 = 264000. That way we will align with Primegrid and Moo.
To be honest, I don't think that it is fair by Collatz :( They are seriously distorting the true amount of computations done by the BOINC community :(
Thanks for your usefull and enlightning feedback :) |

This project just turned into a clusterf*ck with the WUs being aborted and even the finished ones by some will get no credit now...WTF!
Not trying to be a dick, but think about WtF you're doing before you do it without giving some sort of advanced notice first. You know you can send notices to the BOINC manager right lol. |

72-73 bit
5000 credits
runtime ~30min (@5500XT)
deadline: 5 days (+1 grace_period)
max WUs in progress = 20
more are follow. |

Agree. Now you should align the 72-73 bits credit and so forth. |
