The credit reward per task has dropped from 1200 to 1100.
https://ibb.co/chSNjcS

Is this permanent or temporary?
Is it a change across all users, a change based on your GPU's performance or some other criteria; like maybe a change in the difficulty?

As from the other statements the higher the range the lower the credits / runtimes.

Sorry, I looked through the 6(+) pages of the TF thread and didn't find that.

Cool, thanks. I was betting the question would be answered in the TF thread. If they had just put TF in the title.

I don't understand n=xxxm and need to do some reading about the algorithm

In theory this is supposed to keep your credit per day (or points per day) the same no matter the range?

If that is the intention...it doesn't seem to work that way in reality IMO, but maybe I'm wrong.

yes, we have fixed credits depends on runtime.

Thanks.

On a side note...you have to be one of the best Project Admins in responding to posts (and quickly) on their forums. A lot of Projects have Admins that are MIA and just don't give a shite. So, thank you for that!

Am I correct in saying from a week ago credits have dropped by 500? Last week I am sure I was getting 3500 credits now I am getting 3000 credits. Reason I am asking is because I have not noticed a dip in run time each task is still taking my 2070 around 3 minutes 16 second to 3 minute 30 second time range on average. Unfortunately I do not have any tasks from last week to compare. On the server said status page runtime doesn't appear to have decreased either it is still around .13 of an hour/7 minutes 48 seconds. In this case my 2070 is well under the average time
I would also like to thank you Reb for your fast response(s)

yes, its 3000 now because of a runtime drop.

Runtime is depend inversely on size of exponent (when the bits is fixed), so it decrease continuously. Credit however decrease more like a staircase, since it's constant for a range. Most time runtime will decrease while credit stay fixed, but at the end of a range credit will drop a lot in one go. I hope this help.

I have observed that credits have dropped to 2700.00 however I notice run times are still 3 minutes plus on a RTX 2070

TF_73-74_383-393M_wu_539_0 3 minutes 3 seconds 2700

I have included the links but have also included all information above so information can be seen once results have been deleted.
2 seconds is certainly a drop in run time just not the drop I was expecting when credits decrease.

The runtime will be changed more in the middle. My test is taking around 16min on RX5500XT and 15min in the next range.

Honestly I think being a cruncher helps him in that regard as he can relate more than someone who's only crunched to see that everything works

I am serves something interesting https://srbase.my-firewall.org/sr5/workunit.php?wuid=72662978 ran for 2 hours 11 minutes and gave 2,700 credits. I am guessing this is normal? 1st time I have struck a task running for this length of time

The task only took nearly 3min on GPU but cant explain the high amount of CPU usage.

Thanks. If I have another instance like this should I suspend the task and started again to see if it will restart itself?
