There will be an update for all 64bit llr apps shortly. Its based on the apps which PG is using and will benefit from the Gerbicz check. The speed is a little bit slower. Its based on llr3.8.23 with gwnum 30.4

It looks like the Gerbicz check is much slower, on my other longer test it takes 10 times more time. Here is a short test:

464832878*3^511864-1 is not prime. RES64: E10C6BE65FB03831. OLD64: A32543B31F10A890 Time : 106.849 sec. (llr3.8.21 current app)
464832878*3^511864-1 is not prime. RES64: E10C6BE65FB03831 Time : 164.394 sec. (Gerbicz check llr3.8.23)
464832878*3^511864-1 is not prime. RES64: E10C6BE65FB03831. OLD64: A32543B31F10A890 Time : 133.055 sec. (llr3.8.23 without Gerbicz check).

32*470^634171+1 bit x/5629226 0.6ms/ts expecting 58min
32*470^634171+1 bit x/634171 6.529ms/ts (Gerbicz check) expecting 67min

Test done:
32*470^634171+1 is not prime. RES64: 415209D2A0DBDA30. OLD64: C3F61D77E2938E8B Time : 3497.493 sec.
32*470^634171+1 is not prime. RES64: 415209D2A0DBDA30 Time : 4110.926 sec.

If I cant find a solution to speed up then its useless.

Latest tests need much more time, ~64-100%

How important is for this project to use Gerbicz?

So if it would be a factor of 10 to deal with it got to be useful and needed.

For those who that is not deeply into this what is need of this change and benefit in this change?

The Gerbicz check detect Hardware errors like OC and rerun from the last block after the current block failed (again and again) until it will abort the calculation. This avoid wrong residues = a wrong result.

At the moment I cant see a benefit while the speed is too slow (mostly with multithreading), the PG devs will look into it for some changes in the next version of llr2
