I have tested und researched a bit...

If I start a "mfakto.exe -st" with "GPUType=AUTO" (6900XT is detected as RDNA) or "GPUType=RDNA", than the selftest fails:

Self-test statistics
number of tests 34026
successful tests 32619
no factor found 1407

self-test FAILED!

But if I set "GPUType=RDNA3" (even it is a RDNA2 architecture), the selftest is passed:

Self-test statistics
number of tests 34026
successful tests 34026

self-test PASSED!

Since anonymous platform is not allowed, there seems to be no way to change the mfakto.ini without getting a new zip file downloaded.
So it would be nice if you provide an edited version.


ps:

The ini also says:
#It is recommended to use NumStreams=3
# on Linux systems and higher values on Windows. A larger number increases both
# the host and GPU memory used by mfakto.
#
# Minimum: NumStreams=1
# Maximum: NumStreams=10
#
# Default: NumStreams=10

NumStreams=3

So for Windows systems it should be higher than 3.
The GPUSieveSize should also be allowed to change from 96 to 128 for higher GPU-usage.
The VectorSize could also be part of some optimization for different GPUs since the ini itself says that e.g. a HD 6850 runs faster on 4 than on 2 (while my 6900XT shows errors on any value >2).

What if you used <dont_check_file_sizes>1</dont_check_file_sizes> in cc_config?
