We have removed the fixed input -v -use NO_ASM in latest WU batch

If you are running a 10xx card you must add

--passthrough_child -use NO_ASM

in app_config.xml to run this on your GPU.

For other options like -log xxx you need to change that to

--passthrough_child -log xxx

//xxx for any value see FAQ

to avoid computation errors.

Why did you remove cmdline -log. I was running another project, came back to this and had errors because you broke a function that was OK and now does not.

To be sure:

I go to data\projects\srbase.my-firewall.org_sr5

and edit the app_config.xml

and add the following lines to the end of it:

<app_version> <app_name>LL-dc</app_name> <cmdline>--passthrough_child -use NO_ASM</cmdline> </app_version>

is that correct?

All of this needs to be in the app_config.xml file

<app_config> <app_version> <app_name>LL-dc</app_name> <plan_class>opencl_nvidia_200</plan_class> <cmdline>--passthrough_child -use -NO_ASM</cmdline> </app_version> </app_config>

There was a change in the latest boinc wrapper command as discussed with boinc dev.

You need the new --passthrough_child command to send the command line to boinc client which does not have the older wrapper. We had this included in input template but removed it.

Just found out because of errors: the line should read

<cmdline>--passthrough_child -use NO_ASM</cmdline>

without the "-" in front of the NO_ASM. Just to inform everyone who might need that too (i cannot afford a new gfx card, and my 1080ti does still work smoothly)

Thx for testing, the FAQ had a mistake with "-". I have corrected it.

boinc\data\projects\srbase.my-firewall.org_sr5

If there is none you must create an app_config.xml
