I need your vote if you want to add your find by your own name into the prime database. Another idea was to keep all the primes under an alternative name by mersenne.

I think all have to submit them as individuals.

Create a account if they don not have any and after that create a proof code.

Also have you and Gary any agreement what should be added in the proof code ?

Over at Primegrid, they have the option in your account to add your details, such as real name, to be submitted to the Primes listing on your behalf. The volunteer does not then have to do anything other than find the Prime.

I have no problem with this and my real name is listed in my account over there so Primegrid can submit primes found for me (not that I have found many).

I prefer to report primes under my own name rather than have them under an alternate "project" name, however to do that people need to know how to report them.

To report your own primes you first need to create an account at primes.utm.edu with Username and Password. This will generate a Database ID.

Second create a new proof-code that credits the following:

Your surname (#) : You (person)
Srsieve (#905) : Geoffrey Reynolds' srsieve (program)
CRUS (#1372) : Conjectures 'R Us (project)
This proof-code will also automatically credit:
OpenPFGW (#175) : OpenPFGW (a.k.a. PrimeForm) (program)

All unused proof-codes will be deleted after 24 hours, so don't create a proof-code until you need it.

Finally add primes by using the submit primes button that can be found on both your prover-account page and on the page for the new proof-code.

Remember to only report primes your sure of. Primes need to be primality tested before they are reported. Report false primes too often and you'll be blocked.

How will people know they have found a Prime at SRBase?

I will send him/her a mail. We have now double check then its no problem for primality testing. The first one who has returned the result with a prime will get the mail.

I agree with what Conan posted in message 111. Make it easy like PrimeGrid does.

I agree with the others... I would prefer to have things reported in my own name. This is really the only way for us to get any credits for our efforts. Additionally, I agree with Conan and Vaughan that is would be awesome if reporting worked similar as over at PrimeGrid :)

They are using another boinc system than me. I will contact the finder if there is a TOP5000 entry.

I'd be happy with a list in my account of the primes that I've found.

Submission to any external database is a bonus.

Yes, even the small ones not just the top 5000 candidates.
