900 credit per wu instead of 5 I cant see any problem, at 4:46UTC+1 I got still 5 credits and after this time 900.. The credits are fixed in template of the WU and I dont know why BOINC changed this value.

The deadlines are off as well, He has took my last changes from input file for test WUs S185. Another problem is the revalidation process. It doesnt affect the credits total and sub project badges. Very bad.

I have revalidate all to 5 credits and he was starting again to give 900 after the run for the old ones too. Must be a really bad bug.

I have identified most of the affected users (53) and need to change values (credits total and badges credits by hand).

I have identified most of the affected users (53) and need to change values (credits total and badges credits by hand). I am sorry Rebirther but I must say I am disappointed. I have pointed out to you before in BU that you MUST tell to your users what is going on in the News section of the server for not everybody has time to search the Message Boards of all projects where a problem is likely to be hidden from most users. Personally I feel that playing with credits whatever the cause is particular dangerous for unless it is explained properly it will likely lead to loss of trust in the project and eventual loss of users. Looking at the manual adjustment, I do not beleive it to be correct judging by the RAC of users close to me on either side. It just does not make sence that I loose twice the credit when my RAC is less or the other guy looses less credit when his RAC is more than mine. Something is wrong. It could be just my observation but in either case, it leads to mistrust to such an extent that I am now going to crunch other projects until this one is fixed and settled down. I beleive that if you are going to do any adjustment to the server settings than you should try it first on a test server before you adjust the main one. Had you done this, this problem would not have occured as no other projects having problems of this nature. Keep on crunching and have a nice day. It is not a perfect world and bugs and mistakes will happen whatever you do and you can not satisfy everybodies needs, so carry on regardless.

Looking at the manual adjustment, I do not beleive it to be correct judging by the RAC of users close to me on either side. Indeed, in a matter of hours my total credit went from ~22k to a "corrected" ~128k. Credits are still definitely messed up. It's not a big deal to me personally, but I imagine some people who take this very seriously will be bothered by it.

For the ""correction"" to be done properly, not only does the overall total need correcting (which mine has been), but the Computer totals has to be corrected as well.

I have tried to revalidate but boinc does it wrong, the value of 5 is there for a few seconds and will add it again to credits total after that its switching to 900 again and count it too. The RAC will normalise again if you are crunching some new WUs. If you need a change in the host tell me the number. I could not correct all the things I need it this will take too long.

... Why not to cancel the batch of the Sierpinski/Riesel Base - short WUs incriminated. ____________ "Libre de penser... pensez Libre" =8?()>

I did a bit of maths and as all my short task that I processed are still on my computer, I was able to work out my correct totals. Current User Total (all 4 computers) = 56,681 Host 424 current total = 33,479 credits Processed 26 affected short tasks, 26 x 900 = 23,400 Corrected value is 26 x 5 = 130 So Host 424 should have 33,479 - 23,400 + 130 = 10,209 credits Host 425 current total = 41,416 credits Processed 31 affected short tasks, 31 x 900 = 27,900 Corrected value is 31 x 5 = 155 So Host 425 should have 41,416 - 27,900 + 155 = 13,671 credits Host 426 current total = 47,578 credits Processed 32 affected short tasks, 32 x 900 = 28,800 Corrected value is 32 x 5 = 160 So Host 426 should have 47,578 - 28,800 + 160 = 18,938 credits Host 427 current total = 37,708 credits Processed 26 affected short tasks. 26 x 900 = 23,400 Corrected value = 26 x 5 = 230 So Host 427 should have 37,708 - 23,400 + 130 = 14,438 credits My totals now are 10,209 + 13,671 + 18,938 + 14,438 = 57,256 credits The difference between my new total of 57,256 and the one you show for me (56,681) is the 5 credit value of the work units that you corrected. You appear to have removed all 900 credits per WU but did not give back the 5 credit value each WU should of been given. If this does not make sense please let me know. Thanks Conan

I still think that the adjustment on my credits are wrong. According to BOINCStats, I have gained 6 positions in a week yet after the adjustment, I lost 9 positions. During this time I have been crunching the same machines 24/7 when WU's were available. Can you explain the difference?.

I have picked up all 900 R3s and credits were reduced from total and subproject. If you missed something let it me know.

[quote] Yes, that might be, but did you give credit of any kind for the work completed? It seems to me that you have reduced credit by 900 but did not give credit by the previously normal 5. That is why users that did not complete any tasks during this time all of a sudden past me. If I am wrong, please explain why BOINCStats shows me as gaining 6 places in a week and loosing 9.
